I've been looking through the obsproject.com and github sites to no avail. I can't find any information on the most current build of OBS MP to make sure that's what I'm running. It's been three weeks since 0.12.0 was released with many new bugs, and I don't know if there's a new version available because that info isn't present anywhere on the web site.

Is there any chance you can update the MultiPlatform download pages for each OS (e.g., https://obsproject.com/download#linux) to show the current build being pushed to the repositories? This way, we can make a decision to use the most current stable builds or any WIP beta builds.

Look at the version number here. If it matches the version number of the repo you're using then you have already the newest version.

I think we only offer for Ubuntu unstable (latest git master builds) builds / ppa but don't quote me on that.

Also it would be good to report this bugs.

The latest stable release as of right now is 0.12.0.

Bugs can't get fixed until we know they exist, so it's best to report the bugs you're encountering.

Well, I for one have noticed a tremendous boost in stability. Far fewer crashes mid stream in longer sessions. And I use the unstable PPA exclusively!

One thing that continues to haunt me, though, is there are many times I will end a stream and do a controlled shut down but still get a popup error message that says "OBS closed unexpectedly"? Happens much more often on my Asus 1215n but I've seen it on all of my machines.

The Asus is Atom D525 with nVidia Ion2 graphics (driver 340.93) using Bumblebee invoked with optirun, Xubuntu 15.04.
Machine #2 is a i5-760, DQ57TM Intel MoBo, nVidia 9600GT (driver 346.96), Xubuntu 14.04.3
Machine #3 is Intel Q9550, P45T-A MoBo, nVidia GT640 GDDR5 (driver 346.96), Xubuntu 15.04.

nVidia seems to be the common denominator here. I have a 4th machine with a modest Intel dual core and 3x Saphire 7950 used exclusively for cryptocoin minting. It would be interesting to compare.

Interestingly, it behaves when it knows I'm watching by launching from terminal. Hmmmmmm

Okay, I caught one for you. This produced the "OBS closed unexpectedly" error message even though it was a clean shutdown. I see nothing abnormal in the attached log file. Core dump is too large for me to attach. Even compressed it's 11MB.
