Replicate:
Put an image or a camera source to a scene
Select that source
Right click and select "rotate CCW 90"
Select source
send "fill" by ctrl+f
It will try to fill the source to the scene but it will reset the rotation aswell
it might not be a bug but an oversight, but i think it should keep the rotation non the less
