In my setup I have my gameplay in the corner at 720p and the various alerts and info surrounding it in the remaing 1080p canvas. In video editors, I later crop out and export a new file so only gameplay is left which I use for video reviews. In advanced audio options it's easy to only record the track that has gameplay audio and when looking around to see if you could only record one video source, it would apparently put a huge load on CPU and that's why you can't do that. I came up with this alternative and would like to know if its possible or would also put a huge load on CPU. Basically under recording options, you can either select "Record entire Canvas" or "Select what part of the canvas to record", and then you can place a marque border around what OBS records. It would help skip a tedious step, if possible.
