Question / Help Crop, but not pad?

Is there a way I can simply crop the sides off a source without actually padding it? I have some pixel perfect adjustments I need to make on an overlay, but the crop feature is different in Studio than Classic, and when I make the adjustments with numbers I somehow end up with different results than with Classic when using the hold alt + drag method.

Is there a way to JUST crop and not have the source adjust in size while doing so? Thanks.

Go right click on the source that needs it and click on Filters, add the Effect Filters > Crop/Pad, that way you can pixel perfect crop what ever is needed

That's what I'm using, it's not 100% precise, because I have overlays that are made to be extremely precise and if I'm cropping a source there should be no gaps (it's a border for a game window), when I use pad/crop it ends up not fitting perfectly. Hard to articulate exactly, but it's definitely not perfect, there's some kind of resizing going on.

Are you sure? Maybe you got a really odd source - I've tested PC Capture, Logitech C920, StarTech USB3HDCAP, AVerMedia Live Gamer HD C985, Elgato HD60 S, AmaRecTV, random media/browser/image sources, window/display capture, text sources... basically everything I've thrown at it Filter > Crop/Pad always allows me to crop exactly how I need it.

Can you provide exactly what you are cropping so I can do the same thing, also holding Alt key and cropping with the mouse does it do the same? Yes that also works in Studio

Maybe as a last resort change your art overlay... you can always alter things - don't limit your self.
