Question / Help Create video chunks every "x minutes"

Hi all

I'm a complete newby to OBS and I'm blasted with the many posibilities that it offers.
What I have not been able to find, is the option to create video chunks.

I mainly want to use the tool to record large webinars from my career plan, so it would be very useful OBS to create tet's say 1 hour video segments for 8 hours (so 8 chunks instead of a 8 hours huge video file).

There is no option for timed segmenting at present. There is a duration auto-stop timer, but it's manual.

Why would you want individual chunks anyway? They're harder to edit with and organize, and if you're recording to FLV or MKV (as you should be) there's no risk of losing the entire recording if your machine crashes or OBS fails to finalize the file properly (as happens when recording to MP4, which is why you shouldn't do it).

i do have a reason for chunks:
i would like to post-process a long-time recording with some scripts i wrote, and then delete what has been postprocessed already.
With a single recording file i cannot delete what has been processed already, and thus it continues to occupy disk space.
Much more than the output of the script.
