Crashing when applying an Effect in Shaderfilter

Using the Shaderfilter plugin, I can use the .shader files just fine, but when trying to use the .effect file and following along with instructions, when loading an effect, checking the Use Effect File (.effect) check box, after clicking Reload Effect, my OBS crashes each time.
