During our last event about two months ago during our second session the encoder crashed and of course the recording also didn't exist afterwards. It was all messed up. Thought I was safe recording thankfully as a back up we record on camera as well just had to re-edit. Unfortunately it meant the live Q&A was not available for the online patrons, thankfully they weren't posting very many questions online anyway.
Which brings me back to the oh why oh why did I do the update the day before it was running so smooth. What makes it worse that was our only issue.
So back on solid ground getting ready for the next months event we skip December I'm noticing the OBS is crashing whenever I hit X file exit or the exit button. I saw one thread which I need to read a little bit more in to that mentioned that was mentioned XSplit can have some issues however it is not ever run at the same time. it's there just as a back up, thinking I might uninstall it then again I might need it as a back up.
Let's see any relevant information I can add hmm. I don't remember which version I was on prior to the update but it now says I'm current as of 2022-1-13. we stopped streaming and recording to started a new session with our web stream site I input the new streaming code and started back up, It was fine until about 30-45? minutes in and I can't remember exactly when it started it's also doing Q&A to person tech crew. I tried to stop the encoder and keep the recording going but that seem to of done nothing. As far as the crashing issue I downloaded a fresh copy and installed over I might uninstall and reinstall although I'm concerned I might have to reconfigure things before next week.
Oh yeah I was having an issue with the USB hub which I thought might be part of it, there seems to be a loose connection which causes the whole program to hang up and crash but even with that unplugged I was still getting the exit crashing which has to be terminated with good old CAT+ Force.
Sync Link to logs and anything else that I might need to add.
