Hey

Just wandered if someone could help an OBS noob. I have here a crash report which seems to be very similar in them all, so it maybe something I need to change.

Using the 32 bit version.
Encoding at x264
All drivers up to date

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bobby.

@bobbybarks Please also post the accompanying regular log for that crash log.

Are you using w10? If you are there is a bad update that was pushed.
They are using Windows 10, but they have not updated to the Anniversary Update.

Windows version: 10.0 build 10586 (revision 0)
The Anniversary Update is build 14393.

I'm having the same issue. What was the update so I can remove it?
If you are on the Anniversary Update of Windows 10 with the current minor updates (Version 1607, Build 14393.105), then you have the troublesome update (KB3176938). You can check your current version of Windows by running "winver" from the Start Menu. I would only advice uninstalling KB3176938 if you are having problems on your system. If uninstalling KB3176938 causes those problems to go away, report it to Microsoft using their Feedback Hub within Windows 10 (type "Feedback Hub" from the Start Menu).

I'm not sure if this is the same one or not, but it tends to crash on all the streams anyway, so should be relevant.

Right when you start your stream/recording, there this error:
Code:
00:49:54.590: [x264 encoder: 'simple_h264_stream'] encode failed
00:49:54.609: Error encoding with encoder 'simple_h264_stream'
00:49:54.609: Called profile end with mismatching name: start("do_encode"[669096D0]) <-> end("receive_video"[669096DC])

I don't know what causes that error. Maybe someone else knows?
