I've edited for more pertinent details that aren't included in the log.

I'm running a Radeon R9 380 and using amdgpu-pro 16.40-348864 as the driver.

After a bit of further experimentation, it seems that it only crashes in 'Studio' mode, which is a damned shame because Studio mode is cool. Here's another log file from a session that didn't crash after 3 minutes.

PS I installed via apt and the PPA, I didn't build it myself

It just crashed again while I wasn't recording and without Studio mode active.

You are getting a lot of failed in that last log, so i think that its failing to actually get the video stream from the gpu to record it.

It didn't crash in that one, though. I think the error messages came from a source I left active, but which was not projecting anything, but I'm not sure. Either way, I got a video out of that one.
