Bug Report Crash with Startech USB3HDCAP capture device

I'm running into a problem with the Startech USB3HDCAP capture device (same as Micomsoft XCAPTURE-1) crashing when I access the driver configuration through OBS. Specifically, when I try and change the deinterlacing options through the driver itself.

If I have a 720x480i signal going to my capture device and open the device settings, when I try to change to the High Motion deinterlace settings, my computer instantly reboots. If I try Low Motion or Bob settings, the bottom half of the preview image will flicker green, and then when I close out of the driver settings, my computer restarts. If I have a 1080p signal going to my capture device, I can freely change the deinterlace options without crashing (though it's obviously useless since it's a progressive scan image). I thought I could use this to turn on the deinterlace options, so I tried saving my settings with High Motion deinterlacing turned on while in 1080p, then exiting OBS and switching to a 480i signal, but when I launch OBS again, it crashes and immediately restarts my computer.

I thought it might have been a driver issue, so I tried contacting Startech support and this is what they responded to me with:

I did test this with a default DirectShow application (videoview.exe) and didn’t have the issue with switching the deinterlacing option in the driver.

I then tried the same in OBS and had the exact same crash that you are reporting.

Unfortunately we don’t support any third party applications, and this does seem to be an issue with OBS specifically.

I have been using the Yadif deinterlacing from within OBS, but was having an issue with Wild Arms 5 on PS2 that causes some color bleed/ghosting effect and I wanted to try the hardware deinterlacing on my device instead, but am currently unable to do so. I am currently using the latest driver from Startech's site (1.1.0.170).

Attached should be one of the log files when OBS crashed. I am on Windows 10 Home 64-bit, i5-4670k @ 4.2GHz, 8GB RAM. Let me know if you need any further information.
