Hello, all!
I have been using SSR (SimpleScreenRecorder) for some time, but a friend recommended I try OBS. I think that it is a very powerful application, and with at least a little knowledge about SSR I think I can get it to be a darn good application. However, this caused me a huge problem when I tried out my first recording and realized they had no sound. After some fiddling around, I eventually ended up following a tutorial on installation for my system (Fedora 21) and recompiling OBS. Everything seemed to go well, but now I can't get it to come up at all. Running from the terminal provides the short log which can be found here.
I am using Fedora 21, Kernel version 4.0.4.
I am using a tweak to route audio from ALSA to Pulse to JACK. I have no idea if this may be the problem, but I feel like it is. However, it is the only way I can get the greater majority of my applications to co-exist with JACK, since they all pretty much demand Pulse.
