I was testing our new Internet connection recently and set OBS to 35000kbits for streaming to youtube. I know it's stupid but it was just to test bandwith.
OBS crashes on four independent machines pretty much instantly. The computers are fine, I can close the frozen app without a problem and restart it right away. I don't think it's the cpu overloading because the systems themselves stay very smooth the whole time. I'm just running OBS, no games or anything. I'm just streaming some random video footage (media source).
I'm using quad I7s with 16 gigs of ram. Three machines run Windows 7, one runs Windows 10.
Doesn't matter if I go Quicksync or CPU.
I know it's stupid to stream with such high settings but I thought I'd share my results.
