Question / Help Crackling Audio During Recording

I've seen a bunch of these threads with no apparent common resolution. So here goes with mine: During recording to disk, my mic's audio crackles quite a bit. It only happens with OBS Studio. Any other recording software, or any other software that takes Mic input all do so perfectly. I'm not really sure where to look or what's going on here as it's been working perfectly for me previously.

I'll include the log file, but also have a ~23M no-video MP4 file that has the audio of me saying, "Check 1 2 3 4". The black vid is here:

And the log file is, of course, attached.

Make sure your windows audio is set to 48000 hz since that is what you have it set to in OBS.

If that doesn't work try reinstalling OBS.

Tell me if either of those work.

The frequency thing was the first thing I thought of, and yes it's set to 48K. And I've done a complete scrape and re-install of OBS. Including nuking my "Home" settings. No love. :-(

Do you also get the problem if both your windows and obs is set to 44100?

Does this happen with just this mic or every mic?

Happens w/44.1 or 48, and with any mic.

Interestingly if I use Playclaw to record (using the same NVENC hardware encoders) - no problem. OBS is really unhappy w/my system for some reason. :-(
