Cracking from Discord only when recording and/or streaming.

I have my Mac audio going out of the computer into a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer via an Behringer u-phoria UM2 audio interface, and then back into the computer through that same audio interface.

I’m doing a mix minus for recording interviews, and the exact setup is I have

dynamic microphone connected via xlr to level1

level 3 has a dual 1/4 TS male todual rca male connected to the output of the interface

A 1/4 TS is plugged into FX send into the mic/line one of the interface.

The audio only cracks on the guest, and it only happens if I’m recording or streaming, when I do a call and don’t record, the audio is fine.

Is the signal unstable?

Is my Mac just unable to do all that processing with an i5 processor?( it rarely hits 50% cpu when streaming/recording)

Please help.

I don’t know if this means anything, but when I play my prerecorded Interviews (that I record on obs) as media source, the volume plays significantly lower.

Greetings, the first thing I would check is the Audio Midi Setup.

It sounds like a syncing issue. I would set all devices in question to the same format. 44,100 Hz or 48,000 Hz

Also, can you include your OBS Logs?
