I just recently got into using OBS Studio and I'm testing out the CQP setting for recording and I love the quality. The only issue I'm having is even though in the video settings tab I have the FPS set to 60 I will start recording and the game I'm recording will have over 60 fps, a solid 90 in fact in which the game is CoD World at War Zombies, and it will feel laggy. I checked the file details afterwards and it was recorded at 56 fps? What the heck? Am I doing something wrong?
I'm recording at 1080p 60 fps with these settings (attached is an image of my settings an a image showcasing two examples of my fps not being 60)
It's really annoying and I'd like to figure out the reason why because I want smooth 60 fps gameplay, not 56 or anything other than 60.
EDIT: I just changed the encoder to just x264 CBR at 20000kbps and the fps stays solid. Does anyone know why that seems to be the issue? I'd like to record at 60 fps using my gpu rather than my cpu.
