I'm sure some of you know of my issue, but before we address that, here are my pc specs:
Dual Radeon HD 7970's
AMD FX-9590
32 GB of RAM
Windows 7 64 bit
Also, I was using the "normal" obs and then switched to the multiplatform to see if maybe the issue would be resolved. It, obviously, was not.
During my streams, I get cpu usage spikes that are so high, it drops my game (no matter what game) and my video down to less than 20 fps. I heard unpacking your cores could solve this issue. It did not. My settings are not that crazy, and changing them has no impact on the cpu spikes. Just for reference, here are my settings:
Rescale Output is set to 1280x720
Bitrate is 2500
Keyframe Interval is set to 1
CBR is on
CPU Usage Preset is set to "very fast"
Profile and Tune - none
No x264 Options
Downscale filter is set to "Lanczos"
FPS is set to 60
Once again, bear in mind that changing these has no bearing on the spikes, and those happen about every 5 minutes. Does anyone have a fix for this? Any and all help is appreciated.
