Question / Help CPU Recommendations

I have been using OBS for some time on my macbook to film a podcast, no gaming. I do not stream stricktly use it to record multiple inputs. However I am switching to a pc for convience to cut out setting up my laptop each time and I am torn on a CPU to build around. I was looking at the i7 6700 or the fx-8320. I was thinking since I do not plan on streaming I could get away with a slightly lower CPU compared to the i7 6700k many recommend for streaming. However I am open for suggestions. Trying to keep the cost down but not my major deciding factor.

NEVER buy a FX 8320 not even today. If you want to cheap out get an Ryzen 5 1600. A little bit more would be an Ryzen 7 1700 (would recommend overclocking Ryzen in general).

If Intel I would recommend waiting for Coffee Lake on the consumer platform or looking around at the used market für Broadwell-e (LGA2011-3) i7 6800k which would be the enthusiast platform.
