CPU Mark, PassMark, Benchmark?

Hi all,
read the "Read this first!" but am more confusd than before.
Is there any metric on how much xyzMark is roughly needed for say one silent videostream?
We need to get a PC for hot enviroments and are trying to figure out what CPU to choose.
Could you recommend a number on one of the benchmark scales?
F.I. 4000&up for one stream with OBS version 1234.
Roughly
That way we can select intel or AMD or which generation etc of what we need.
HWMonitor or Passmark or any of those we could use to evluate.
That would be cool!
Thanks

I'm using that benchmark site very much for deciding how powerful some CPU and GPU is. The benchmark score gives an estimate how powerful some CPU is in comparison to some other CPU. Especially valuable when I compare some new CPU/GPU I intend to buy with the actual results I got with the CPUs/GPUs I actually used in the past on my computer, so I can estimate how much better a new CPU/GPU would behave in comparison to that old one I used to use.

However, how viable a given CPU and GPU benchmark score is for a specific recording or streaming demand depends on that specific demand. A CPU capable for processing 30 fps 1280x720 is not necessarily capable for processing 60 fps 1920x1080.
A CPU running only OBS can be less powerful than a CPU running OBS as well as some game it should capture.
A machine that has a GPU with a good hardware encoder can have a less powerful CPU, because video encoding can be offloaded to the GPU.
So you always need to decide and base your estimates on what you intend to run and capture (game, capture card, monitor resolution and fps), and what you intend to produce (resolution, fps, record and/or stream).

There is no rule of thumb that a CPU or GPU with a score of 4000 will run your specific demand fine. The rule of thumb of 4000 is that it is powerful enough to run a basic to regular scenario, but not everything.
