So i have just got myself a new gaming PC and although i can stream on it while gaming i wanted to share the load between 2 Pc's. I am looking at my old pc and wondering if i can use that? my specs for my old pc are -

AMD (Piledriver) FX-6300 3.50GHz (4.10GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 6-Core Processor
Sapphire Radeon R9 270X Dual-X Boost OC AMD Graphics Card 2GB
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P AMD Socket AM3+ Motherboard
12GB DDR3 RAM

it will literally be dedicated to streaming and i'm hoping to stream at 720p and 60fps to twitch.
If anyone with any streaming experience or knows about it could help out that would be great. Thanks

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Are you cannibalizing your old PC for parts or keeping it whole? Always better to try it out and then decide to upgrade it later if you find out you need to, if possible.

Not sure that the FX-6300 will be very good as a dedicated streaming PC. It would do fine for recording to disk though, but you don't need a second PC for that anyways. What's your new PC going to be? Its possible that you'd be better off just gaming and streaming on it instead of the complication and expense of a dedicated streaming PC.

It is pretty much a whole computer apart from the psu and hard drive as i used that on my new PC. I was looking into getting a streaming PC and building from scratch but wanted some advice with the specs above as it may have saved me some money.

I wouldn't think keeping the 6300 would be worth it. It might do the job but it wouldn't be able to increase the quality over a Ryzen 7 or Intel i5 or i7 doing both your game and your stream in a normal 1 PC solution.
