Hi, I have about a dozen 8mm Sony Tapes with a lot of memories on them. I want to convert them to digital so that I can view them again. I have a working Sony Handycam Video 8 CCD-TR420E PAL. I bought a August VGB30S studio and updated my graphics drivers to the latest version (Display adapter is Intel HD Graphics 4600). I installed OBS studio and set it up as per basic instructions I have. Yesterday I was able to view the video from the camera in the OBS program. It was displaying in a very jumpy fashion (a bit like a TV with the vertical hold out of whack). After a bit of fidling about I found that for some of the time I could see the video very clearly but could not find what changed to make that happen and it was intermittent. I checked the video on the Camera in the view finder and it was alway fine.
So I rule out the camera as the problem. Today I cannot even get an output from the camera to display in OBS. I'm not into this stuff very deply so I wonder if anyone with skills can help me out with some advise?
