Question / Help Corrupted files and other strange happenings

Hello all,
I felt the need to create this thread because I could not find anybody else who is having this problem.

Whenever I create a recording that is LESS than 4 Gigs, everything is fine. Good quality, it's all there, no problems. But in the event that a recording is MORE than 4 Gigs, (which happens quite often) the resulting MP4 file gets capped at 4 Gigs and displays no length of video and cannot be opened with any media players or video editing software.

This is especially strange because this never used to happen. In the past I could record files up to any size and duration (with the same settings!) without any issues. I'm even more confused by this because I don't remember changing anything at all to the recording settings in OBS. The only thing that I can possibly think of that would have anything to do with this is the recent installation of Sony Vegas Pro 14, but I don't really see how that could be connected to this.

And some background information for added context:
1) I've tried uninstalling OBS completely and starting off clean, but the problem persists.
2) The destination for the recordings to be saved at is a 1Tb harddrive with plenty of free space on it (several hundred gigs of free space) so it's not being filled up anytime soon.
3) My computer hardware has more than enough horsepower to do what I'm asking of it so that's not the case either.

Any insight at all to this would be extremely appreciated, because I'm completely at a loss with this one.
Here's the most recent log file from a "corrupted(?)" recording https://gist.github.com/36c6b4ffa552d6421700a6b4cccab1c8
