Question / Help Corrupt footage while streaming with Elgato

Good day everyone, I post this tread because I haven't been able to find a solution to my problem yet.
I currently stream games from my Elgato Capture card HD (not HD60) on my Xbox one X. Everything goes well for a few minutes, but suddenly the game footage starts corrupting. It glitches, lags, and looks pretty much corrupted. When I go to the elgato setting on the "source" column, and as soon as I change the settings the footage goes back to normal, but a few minutes later, it starts to corrupt again. I have stopped livestreams within a few minutes because I can't stream for more than a few minutes with no corrupted footage.
I was thinking it may be that my laptop is not powerful enough?

These are my specs:
-Intel Core i5-5200u 2.2Ghz
-Nvidia GeForce 940M with 2GB of dedicated VRAM
-8GB DDR3

I really don't know how to fix this. I am partially new using an Elgato capture card and OBS. I try to stream in 720p
with 6mb of upload speed.
If you need more information regarding anything, I will gladly provide it!
Thank you for your time!
