I am fairly new to OBS but I am really liking it. I am using it to produce and live stream a panel discussion show. The panelists are in front of a green screen and the background I use with it contains basically a nice room with a big screen on the wall. I've been successful at scaling and layering in a VLC source over the background in that source and I also have a fullscreen source of the video. That works great! I can start with the video playing in 'tv' on the wall and then transition to it full screen (and back of course.) Very happy with that.
A typical show has many video clips (and/or photos) in it and sometimes the presenters want to either skip one or replay one again. I can't see any other way to do this than to set up as many sources as I have videos. I originally put all of the videos in a single VLC source but I haven't been able to figure out how to navigate within the list of videos in that source. The fact that the videos/photos vary in size is another issue that makes me think separate sources is the answer...
Am I missing something?
