Question / Help Controllable scrolling text solution??

I'm looking for a solution to scroll the liturgy of our church service in a column on the side of the live broadcast screen, but I need to be able to pause and control the speed, live. The scroll text filter doesn't work for my purposes, at least not that I've been able to work out, so I'm looking for another option. My thought would be to download a teleprompter application and pull that window into my source layers, but I haven't found one that is easily scalable. Any thoughts? Full disclosure: I'm fairly new to OBS and I'm not a programmer...

OBS doesn't have anything like this built-in.
I know that there are a few worship-specific applications to do just this with liturgies, hymn lyrics, etc. but you'd need to google for them. Some even offer things like NDI output (direct source overlay feeds with transparency, for the cleanest possible overlay), though to use that feature you'd need to use the obs-ndi plugin and Newtek software NDI redist. A teleprompter app would also work with window capture, but might not key out the background as cleanly and be harder to work with.

Good morning...
I had the same problem to scroll the text of a mass.

I fixed it as follows.
1) a text box with 48 font
2) enough empty lines in front of the text to appear from below
3) apply the displacement filter and give it a positive vertical velocity of 70

With this, achieve a fluid movement at the desired speed from the bottom to the top of a 40-line text.

You have the option of filters you can reach by selecting the box, then clicking with the right mouse button. a menu of options appears and the filters are the last option

I'm looking for the same thing for the same reason I am currently scrolling the text in a long narrow box with the bottom cropped off. I need some sort of real time speed control. This option in OBS is very CPU intensive I recorded a video for another forum post. https://youtu.be/ODp8ySIPTUI

I am looking to control the speed of a vertically scrolling text, MANUALY.. It is for a longer prayer and I assume there is a way to manually control the scroll speed. This is because , no matter how hard I try, especially on longer prayers, the speed of the displayed text does not match up what is actually being said. this is why the automatic scrolling text hasn't worked for me yet. The scroll will keep its pace while the actual verbiage , that is being said is either faster or slower than what it comes on the screen as. I hope someone can come up with a solution. I hope some one has a solution other that displaying them as fixed text.
