Continuing audio from a videoclip after transition to next scene?

Hello,

imagine a video of cheering people (fake audience). I would like to
1 show this video
2 switch to the next scene - eg live picture - a few seconds before the end of the video
3 show live picture but still play /transmit the audio from the video until it ends

Sort of an unsynced video/audio switching with delayed audio switching.
Is there a way to do so?
