I haven't changed anything, but whenever i play dota (i could not test it with other games because it is pretty random, sometimes it takes 30 seconds, sometimes it takes 3 hours) obs crashes with this error.

I was on windows 8.1, tried with last 3 nvidia drivers, then i upgraded to windows 10 and tried with last 2 drivers, still nothing.

PC: i7 2600k @stock, GTX 770 4gb, 16gb (4x4 ddr 1600 ram @1600) Windows 10 (atm) tried with Windows 8.1 also. Using 64 bit OBS (multiplpatform)

Output mode: Simple, 1400bitrate, Enabled Advanced Encoder Settings, Preset: veryfast, auto recording is off.
Video renderer D3D 11, Canvas: 1080p, Scaled: 616p@30fps, Bicubic scaling.

Not necessarily related to the issue... but why the scaling to 616? That's an awfully weird resolution. I'd recommend either scaling to a nicer resolution, or playing your game in 720p and streaming in that. Smaller resolution in your game and no scaling in OBS can save a bit of CPU, too.

it is the best resolution i can have with my current internet connection. i cant really have 720p and i dont like the quality of 480p

Then use 1152x648, it's a true 16:9 ratio that is divisible by 8. (divisibility by 8 can help prevent strange encoding issues)

Also, scaling is never a good idea. It's usually better to create your scene in your resolution so you don't have to scale.

The crashes seem to happen in ntdll.dll if I'm reading this correctly. I don't know what ntdll.dll is, though. I guess we'll have to wait for someone who knows what it does to see this thread.
