Question / Help Consistently Disconnecting From Internet When Streaming

So I've been streaming for 2 years on regular OBS without any disconnects or frame drops (aside from the first few weeks of testing). I managed to find myself the right settings and stability over the years, until 2 months ago. This might be a bit of a long read but I want to fit in everything I can do describe this scenario.

So this disconnecting problem I've noticed happens pretty randomly consistent. I stream Injustice 2 where I set up lobbies with other players but some days are fine. I can go 4-5 hours easily and some days my internet decides to sleep every 5-30 minutes. I've never had this problem when playing off stream or just browsing through the internet. It only happens half the time I'm streaming Injustice 2 and no other game. Could the Peer 2 Peer connections have anything to do with it? Cause some players are far away and it does lag (but it'd be weird if I disconnect in game but it disconnects the stream too).

I've tried calling the technicians for my internet provider but they haven't found any anomalies or any issues on my side or theirs. I've tried changing a lot of my OBS settings (which never had a problem 2 years prior). So for example, 2700 bitrate to 2500, faster to very fast, seattle server to san francisco, etc. I was at first thinking maybe my CPU is blowing up past 100% but if it did I would just be losing frames, not my internet connection through Ethernet NOR the wireless on my ps4 to play with others. I've been keeping tabs on my task manager for CPU, RAM, Disk usages, but they're all average and normal. It's just the Ethernet one when it dies for obvious reasons.

But when I did make the changes, I was pretty good for about 3-4 weeks of streaming. Then it happened again where it disconnected me randomly. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links to my Twitch Videos but it has the time stamps of when it just randomly drops. The 7 latest VODS are all on the same day one after another as soon as it disconnected. Maybe an hour, 15 minutes, 3 minutes, 30 minutes, the disconnects are just so random

I know my internet can handle the bitrate and bandwith. No other family members are present when I'm usually streaming so I can't see why I'm disconnecting even when the Telus tech guys tell me they can't see anything wrong with my connection to theirs. I've done almost everything I can think of and theres really no reason why some days it decides to just die every couple minutes, where as some days are flawless. If I disconnect once, the day is completely over pretty much. And as I've said, this only happens when I stream injustice 2. I can stream other games, both online and offline, and it's fine.

I don't know if this is the exact log files but I'll attatch them in anyways. It might be redundant but I'll link the log files of all of the 7 attemps to stream today from Latest to First. I just don't really know what I'm looking for.

I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you very much everybody.

Oh dang, I guess that's probably one of the biggest contributors to my problem. Wasn't aware it was dropped, my bad. I was just comfortable with my settings. But I'll give Studio a shot and come back if the same problem occurs. Thank you

The first thing that jumps out here, is that you're still using OBS Classic.

Please note that this version is no longer supported. While we cannot and will not do anything to prevent you from using it, we cannot help with any issues that may come up. It is recommended that you update to OBS Studio. Further information on why you should update (and how): https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-easily-switch-to-obs-studio.55820/

So I've done a test run of OBS Studio. Perfectly fine for about 1.5 hours, and then it starts throttling back and forth every few seconds or minute. It goes from full Green to Red but stays on red for no longer than 1-2 seconds. It just goes back to green. But since that 1.5 hour mark it doesn't look like I can even go 5 minutes without it constantly dropping to red, making me lose frames. OBS Classic at least disconnected me entirely while OBS Studio, although losing frames and not sending data, was still connected without me having to restart the software. Here's the log file of the little over 2 hour test stream and also the chart from Twitch Inspector.

I've tried everything from the 'dropped frames disconnecting lag read this first' thread. This was not an issue until a few months ago. Called my ISP and there's nothing they can detect on my side or theirs. As with my original post, CPU, Ram, Disk Usage, Temperatures, anti virus softwares, firewall, everything is looking stable. Of course on the Ethernet part of Task manager, the sending portion halts when OBS goes red, for obvious reasons. But other than that, It can't possibly be a faulty ethernet cord cause I could upload a 10 hour youtube video without any hiccups, constantly be downloading or just browsing the internet without the spikes of disconnection. Maybe it's a faulty modem? But I'm the only one on the family noticing this problem because it's so subtle but for streaming, 1 little disconnect is more than enough damage.

I appreciate the patience and help into this problem. I really don't know exactly what I should be looking for and testing to see what could be happening. Thank you very much in advance.

I think you're a little confused on how these different protocols work. Streaming is far more sensitive to connection issues than uploading a file or basically any other type of connection.

See Jim's detailed note here on how there is not really anything we can do, this is purely a connection issue between you and Twitch.

I'm just here to see if the logs had any indication if it was a hardware or software problem. If I'm having issues with my ISP or Twitch, there's not much I can do obviously. But I want to cover all the factors in which I can do something about. Based on your response, which I do appreciate you taking the time to read, I'm still not aware if the latest log, on OBS Studio like you said, caught anything suspicious. But then again, if you didn't mention anything about it, then it's completely out of our hands. Thanks for your time.

Logs will, unfortunately, not point to any specific failure point outside "Somewhere between your network card and the streaming service"

It's not really possible for us to log the failure point, as this information isn't readily available without extensive network monitoring and testing.
