Hi all,
We've been using OBS (on Mac) to stream a full band show (like a budget Radio 1 Live Lounge) for the last couple of weeks (big thanks for making and maintaining such a great piece of software!).
We discovered after the first few attempts that the stream always drops out after 60-80 minutes.
As a work-around we decided to simply make the show 60 minutes long, thus avoiding the issue.
We always stream between the hours of 2000 and 2130 (GMT).
Today (31st March 2020) the stream dropped out after approx 45 minutes..
Log file of the session is here - https://obsproject.com/logs/E-IW1KZzF8AlvpsN
Hardware Information:
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac17,1
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 4 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 8 MB
Memory: 16 GB
MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29)
Camera Capture: BlackMagic Ultra Studio Mini Recorder
1080p30
1920x1080
(Streaming at 720p30 - 1280x720)
Audio Capture: Apollo16 (via Cubase 9.0.30)
OBS Information:
OBS v 24.0.6 (mac)
Stream bitrate - 3250kbps
Streaming Info:
We stream from OBS to a Mobcrush account.
Mobcrush then streams the data to Twitch, Facebook and YouTube (the band already has multiple fanbases, so multiple platform streaming is needed).
We have tried streaming via the studio broadband, and via a phone hotspot (which streams at a much higher quality, with less dropped frames) and have the same issue with the 60-80 minute drop outs.
As a side note: We find we have to re-add the video and audio captures every time we open OBS (sometimes multiple times) before it registers the audio and video.
Any help hugely appreciated.
Can attach more log files - but figured I'd start with one that I know had a drop out on it.
Thanks in advance!
James
