Question / Help Consistent freezing during recording.

Hello! I'm new to this type of thing, but I've started recording game footage from a capture card, and I've noticed that the footage in OBS will freeze after a certain amount of time. Doesn't even seem to matter whether I'm recording or not; the Preview screen will freeze, and that frozen image is all that will record. I'm attaching the log file from my current session. Most likely a problem with the capture card maintaining a stable connection. What is it? The logs do not show an actual model.

Does the capture problem persist if you attempt to capture 720p instead?

Is this USB? If so, try a different USB port. If necessary, unplug other USB devices as they may be fighting for available bandwidth. You can get a better picture of how the USB devices are interacting by using USBview.

It's a pretty cheap USB capture device by if-link. I've tried unplugging all unnecessary usb devices, and plugging the capture device into a different port, and now all I'm getting is a blank black screen in OBS.

I suppose I'm getting what I paid for with this capture card?
