Question / Help Confusion about how to save different set ups?

Okay, I am learning and liking the program, but there is one thing that I can't find and do not understand.
If I want to set my laptop up to stream something from my home.. OK, I get that, and I have different Scenes and Sources for what I want to do. Then, I want to take my computer to a different location and do a completely different stream, with different scenes and sources.
How can I save one configuration, and all of the data in it, and go to another? My audio gear will easily save a file with everything in it that I can load and so forth. I can't see how OBS works that way- can anyone point me to a link that will explain it?

Take a look at Scene Collections, and Profiles. They're up at the top of the OBS window, in the menus.
Scene Collections are probably what you want... it stores all of your scenes and sources, and lets you swap between different sets. Audio settings are also stored in SCs.
Profiles allow you to save different stream presets... resolution, framerate, bitrate, and stream key for choosing which service and/or account you want to stream to (Twitch, YouTube, etc).

OK, I see! Thanks a lot. I will play with that. I did save to one of those, and it put a folder in place that had several files in there that made no sense to me. Would I have to load each one of those files?
This seems kind of backward to me. I own an audio mixer that has lots of settings, and I can save a "scene" for any venue I play and it's very easy to load one file and it recalls the settings just like that.

Don't use import and export for profiles and scene collections. These functions are for backup and restore only and deal with files.
Just add profiles and scene collections with the "New" menu option and give them meaningful names, and they will appear in the Profile and scene collection menus for easy access. Just activate a different profile or scene collecion in the menu and it is switched.

Thanks, I see how that works now...
