Hi everyone,
I've started recording game footage with the intent to use it for YouTube and I managed to record and play through one game without encountering any issues, but this was a few months ago. I wasn't really aware of how to use the OBS settings to my advantage back then but everything recorded fine without me changing any settings. I've attempted to record a different game now while also attempting to optimise some settings for recording, however, no matter what settings I have tried, almost immediately or up to 10-15 minutes later, my monitor will glitch out only showing two colours split down the middle of my screen. The game will still be running with no issues while this is happening. Sometimes the computer itself will crash and restart, other times I have to manually turn off and restart the computer. As far as I can tell it's not an issue with OBS but rather the computer, but I'm not entirely sure. The only difference I can think of that somehow may be having an effect is that since I recorded that first footage with no issues, my father bought a SSD drive which is connected to the Mac via USB to enhance its performance. So my understanding is that the computer is now meant to be running off the SSD now instead of its original drive. It's an iMac 5K 27 inch late 2015 model running macOS Monterey. I don't know if there's any relevance but since it's a major change I thought I would bring it up.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
