Question / Help Computer Crashed When Recording - How to make video work?

Hi guys/gals.

I was recording my screen for a good hour or 2, then my PC crashed, and restarted.
When I loaded it back up, the video file (.mp4) is there in the folder, but if I try play it, it just keeps loading, nothing happens. It's a 1gb file, and I was wondering is there some way to recover it, and make it work?

Incomplete MP4 files are usually damaged beyond repair. Record to MKV to avoid this.

Hi R1ch, thanks for the response.

Would you say then there is no way to try repair it?
I have changed my settings to output for mkv for future recordings.
