Question / Help Computer crash when recording

Hi.

My computer crashes if i record with these settings in the video.

I can record with my own 720p settings but if i use those my computer crashes.

My computer specs:
i7 6700k
EVGA 1070
Corsair vengeance 16gb RAM
750W PSU

Computer just freezes and i have to turn computer off.

Log doesn't show recording attempt.

That guide is terrible for settings too.

Reset your settings back to default, then switch your output mode to simple, recording quality to indistinguishable, recording format to FLV or MKV (The guy in the video is an idiot for recommending MP4) and the recording encoder to one of software low cpu use, hardware nvenc or hardware qsv

Every single obs record setting guide has pretty much the same settings.
Also if i try to record 1080p with simple settings my fps drops to unplayable. If i use gpu to record i get good fps
Flv files are crap. I cant import them to sony vegas or fast forward raw file with players.

I could try the 1080p with that simple settings and mkv. But im pretty sure my fps drops alot.
