Hello,
I'm new to obs and recently installed the multi-platform version on Ubuntu. Unlike guvcview I cannot seem to select the h264 stream from my Logitech c920 webcam. I have seen some other postings claiming this is not supported (yet?). I've even seen an post saying h264 support was irrelevant as obs re-encodes things anyway. This to me is not true as with the limited usb2 bandwidth the only way to do 720p or 1080p at 30fps is some form of compression. mjpeg might also be acceptable, but I do not have that option either.
I checked with the windows version (old one and multiplatform), and those gives me a mjpeg option with 1920x1080 30fps and that works.
Could anyone tell me if at least I can get mjpeg stream from the webcam on linux?
