Composing video by srcript from multiple youtube video clips and own animated video

Hi,
I'm new to OBS and would like to learn how to compose a video by adding clips from multiple YouTube videos (short inserts where the time from the start of the video and how long it lasts are parameters to the script) and my own animated videos (on the hard-drive). I can program (though a little bit rusty), but don't yet really know what approach is suitable for this.

I appreciate any help, as this is important for me for being able to tell the story of my own "foolish project for saving the world".

It sounds like what you're asking for is a normal video editor. OBS is not a video editor, and doesn't really suit the task you're trying to do. I would recommend looking in to something like Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve.

Hi, and thanks for the reply! My end goal is to be able to automatically (sripts / programs) be able to compose _together with other people_ videos that have many contributors and many sources of information. I don't think video editors (that I know of) are good match for this. I'm willing to program considerable amount in order to be able to offer free and supported platform for all. Collaborative movie making kind of.

Regardless, I don't think OBS is the right tool for what you want to do.
