Is there any possible way to completely disable audio encoding?
Some of you may know that I've been trying to kill off a frame skipping issue that has existed for around a half a year or more now...
Anyways, I think that a possible factor might be the audio encoder because disabling desktop audio and microphone in OBS as well as lowering audio quality settings reduces the frequency of the frame skipping.
When encoding with 320kbps frame skips can happen up to every 10 seconds, while with 32kbps frame skips can happen up to every 30-60 seconds.
This is with the Core audio encoder... i'm not sure if other encoders (ffmpeg, media foundation) do this as well.
I did do some earlier tests before installing core audio that had frame skips, so that's probably not the reason.
Regardless, I would like to determine if audio encoding in general is indeed causing frame skipping on my setup. Is there any way to disable audio encoding in OBS completely?
EDIT: ffmpeg and mf encoders have the same problem it seems.
