Question / Help Color settings

Hi! So I'm a pretty heavy user of OBS Studio, I like to tweak as much settings as I can in order to take advantage of every aspect of OBS.

The thing is that due to some problems related to how Youtube processes color compared to some video editing softwares (specially in macOS environments), I noticed that OBS sets the color space to Partial YUV 601 NV12 by default.

The standard usually is REC 709, at least it is in Youtube and other video/streaming services as well as the default export option in all editing softwares I've used.

Thus my question: Should I change that option in OBS? Should I put it in REC 709?

Thanks!

Use partial 709 NV12. It's the standard for digital video with resolutions higher than DVD.
601 is for TV, video and to DVD. I don't know why OBS still defaults to 601. It should be 709, because these days the majority of the encoded video goes into modern high-resolution digital video processing and consumption for which the standard is 709.
