Color certain elements of B&W film

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to color certain elements in a black and white while keeping most of the rest in black and white.
For example gunfire or rocket launches.

Right click on source -> Filters ->Add "Look-up tables (LUT)" filter ->Load "red_isolated.png" as LUT file.
