Question / Help Chroma Key set to black, but still affects white colors?

Is there a setting I am missing somewhere? My advanced settings are: NV12, 709, Full (I just switched from partial hoping it would fix it tonight, but it did nothing). Sadly yet again this is a case of Classic outshining OBS studio. I could honestly get on board with the "no more support for classic" train, if I didn't keep facing problems that I didn't have with Classic. Picture is attached and it is Chatty that I am using. I think this problem has been around for many weeks, but since the preview in Studio is harder to read than Classic I just assumed it was inaccurate coloring. Tonight I could clearly see the problem with the penguin icon.

Maybe third time is a charm with these bugs I am encountering?

Why are you window capturing chat in the first place? It's inefficient and prone to problems like this. Use the browser source and streamlabs for proper chat integration.

Generally all grey colors do not have chroma (color), since grey is generally the lack of color. What you actually want is a Color Key, not a Chroma Key.

For starters, did you even look at the screenshot? Did you happen to notice custom icons? I designed a leveling bot myself in MIRC, but if you can link me to a irc program that allows me to detect changes to a textfile, and show different icons based off these readings. AND is able to be captured as a browser source, then please do tell. Seriously, this would be very nice to have.

Ahhh and here is the real answer. So Classic was using a Color key which is different from Chroma. I did not know this. So the next obvious question is: Is there a way to "mod" Studio to let me have a Color key? Or a way to get the desired result I need?

I see you writing Chroma Key(which its for green screen video) but have you tried Color Key to see if there is any difference? Yeah it does have it, you are just not reading right

Hallelujah! Thank you! This was a good team effort by Xaymar and you. Xaymar explains difference between Chroma and Color key, and you tell me it exists. I guess the third time was a charm :)
