Choppy Video Almost Overnight

My screen recording video became super choppy almost overnight without me doing anything after I updated OBS. Any help is appreciated:

Same here, was recording 4K at 60fps perfectly, then upgraded to 29, kept recording and the video is unusable. 5fps stuttery video (shows as being 60fps) Going back to 28!

One thing I'll mention is is that it used to have a rendering bar that would come up after a recording ended showing you how close it was to the file being saved. For some reason, that doesn't come up anymore. It just saves, and the saved video is trash.

Okay, I think I figured it out. At some point, my computer swapped my screen's refresh rate from 120hz back to 60hz. I had to go into the advanced display settings in Windows and change it back to 120hz, and then access the Nvidia Control Panel (PC) and ensure it was also marked as 120hz. This seems to have resolved my issue.
