Question / Help Choppy local recording

Trying to do local recordings of Skyrim, but they're really low quality and choppy. What settings should I change it to to fix this?

This is one of the results when you tried to record with NVENC which is supposed to minimize CPU usage over x264. Alas it's resulted in those two lines below.

23:11:43.690: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 4429 (31.9%)

Oddly you tried to record with x264 later on and had very little rendering lags and no skipped frames. Seems the GPU is the main culprit and I can see why as you're using a GT730M, which is a laptop GPU. Stick with x264 and use ultrafast preset for recordings.

Try the High Performance preset instead of default, but generally speaking you need a "GTX" not "GT" part for it to work well.

Tried these settings but the video file was still really choppy/laggy.
