Question / Help Choppy FPS when I have a stream open

Hello, I just started recording using OBS and I haven't had any issues other than when I open a stream on my second monitor.

My fps in-game remains the same, but when I playback the video it's very choppy. I can have the stream open and be fine, but when I switch to the tab with the stream the problems start.

Is there any way to fix this? I enjoy watching streams as I play and would like to be able to record while continuing my normal activities!

Thanks

I am assuming twitch stream. Twitch still uses Flash for the video which can be fairly cpu intensive.

Most people do not recommend previewing or watching streams while streaming because of this, or if you do preview from another system.

2nd thing that is recommended to do is to check your internet speed with a site like testmy.net(you can choose from a few server locations) or try using http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/tech-support/478845-twitchtest-twitch-bandwidth-tester to test your connection to the twitch hosts.

Also a log file could be helpful to see your settings and such. https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/please-post-a-log-with-your-issue-heres-how.23074/
