So we record our podcast using OBS and a Scarlett Focusrite 18i8 Mixer as well as 2 Shure SMB mics. It seems that every other episode or so we've been having a ton of audio choppy-ness after we record. We use a compressor, noise gate, and gain increase. We've had these problems when only using a compressor, so we don't think it's that. This is also a new mixer and it happened on our old mixer and it did the same, as well as replacing our XLR cables.
Are there any solutions to this problem? We restart the computer each time we record to prevent audio buffering from windows. Not too sure what else to try.
