Is there a way to have the chat text converted to speech while using OBS?

I put out a stream using OBS. My stream is very small and it's only my friends viewing. I want to have their chats read out so I can hear them, because I miss/forget about some chats and that's not as fun for my viewers.

I tried Speechchat last night but wasn't getting it to work. Probably user error.

Thanks so much for the confirmation that this should theoretically work! I'll fiddle with it some more and confirm back here.
