Question / Help Changing output from AVI to mp4?

Lossless uses the utvideo codec, which only is supported by avi. If your video editor doesn't support this, sounds like you need a better video editor.

Why are you trying to record lossless in the first place? There's a 99.9% chance you don't need it. Use the indistinguishable quality preset instead.

When I record in indistinguishable my CPU goes up to 60 - 70% which forces my CPU to 100% when recording 1080p 60fps
However lossless only uses 15 - 30% for some reason.

And the video editor I use it Adobe Premier and when I put the video file in the editor it only loads the audio. Does this mean the editor doesn't support the AVI file or is the file its self corrupt?

Because in VLC I can view my video and its fine BUT using windows 10 defualt video viewer it only plays audio as well.

Are you using the low cpu use encoder or the regular software encoder?

Also, Windows media player and the films + TV app are junk.
