Hey dudes,
Here's my issue. I have a 2700X and a GTX 1050ti. I started playing with OBS and after many tutorials and videos I started, I believe, in the right way. I wanted to first try recording project cars 2. So I assigned 4 cores to PC2 and 4 cores to OBS. I used the medium preset, recording at 60 FPS, and the bit rate was 12000, native resolution. No issues what so ever. No dropped frames (not with rendering, not with encoding). Now here's the thing. The 1050ti was working at 100%, and I didn't have an FPS cap. So I moved on to GTA V, used the same settings and for some reason my dropped frames were through the roof. I started by adjusting the preset to very fast (I have no idea why? I did the same thing as before, 4 cores OBS, 4 cores GTA V). I also had to drop the FPS down to 30 and lower some other things to get the rendered frames down to 0, and still had weird, in accurate, recordings. The GTX 1050ti was also pegged at 100 running GTA V. So why is it then that one game can be recorded with one set of settings but the other can't?
Edit: I should also mention that in the rare event of a somewhat good recording the 30FPS recording, does not look like 30FPS in game, not nearly as smooth.
