Changing built-in Display Capture audio?

I record my friends and I playing D&D on Discord, and I've noticed that lately since I've changed microphones my voice is too quiet and their voices are too loud. I've cranked up my microphone on OBS all the way up, but it still isn't the same volume level as their voices.

How do I lower my friends' audio so that we're on a more even level? I'm using Display Capture, which captures all the desktop audio, but it doesn't show up in the Audio Mixer. It just automatically records all the audio from it when I'm recording. That means I can't modify the volume or add any audio filters to it.

Is there a better way to record my screen? Maybe separately between audio and video? Or is there an easier way to just lower the volume on Display Capture?

I don't know if a log file applies to this, but here it is anyway: https://obsproject.com/logs/SsnqFLxBmaUXyNpg

Audio is independent from display capture. Check Settings->Audio->Global audio sources. Here you define which Windows audio devices are being captured. If it's "default", the default Windows audio device (usually speakers or headphones) are captured. You're free the configure any audio device or disable it. Speakers collects all output audio generated by any app. To control the volume of that mix, use the corresponding audio control panel in Windows.
To directly capture audio from one app, add an "Application audio capture" source. This circumvents the Windows mixer.
Your mic audio is usually the mic audio device in Windows. Its volume can be controlled by OBS, since it shows up as source in the OBS audio mixer.
If you want to control the volume of each of your friends in Discord individually, that's something within Discord, because Discord mixes their audio and sends a mix. You can only control the volume of the mix as a whole. I don't remember if Discord supports individual volume control of each participant in a chat. If that's not available, you need to ask your friends to change their mic volume.

No... I tried changing the volume on Windows and the recording audio remains unchanged. I also tried using Application Audio Capture, changing the volume in the Audio Mixer throughout the recording, and upon listening to it, it was completely unchanged and the entire video had the same loud volume to it. So it doesn't circumvent it.
Is there seriously no way to change the input audio or make a microphone's audio louder? I have it cranked all the way up on OBS and it's still quieter than the Display Capture audio.
