Changes to Scene being applied before transition

So i have multiple scenes (one for camera, one for main display, et cetera), and then I have a main scene that I have the sources within them.

If i'm in the "mainDisplayScene" and I change the background it is automatically changed in the "mainStream" before i can "transition" the main stream.

What is the point of studio mode with the preview if my changes are going to be made live without the transition?

Version 31.1.2 (64 bit)

Thank you,

Nested scene is a source. To edit it without changing the Program output you need to enable "Duplicate Sources" option in Studio Mode.
If this is media (capture device) source then it couldn't be duplicated.

Studio Mode allows to edit the scenes/sources that are not present in the output. Without the Studio Mode you need to stop streaming otherwise all edits will be visible real-time.

OBS has previews for all scenes. It is in the main menu View > Multiview (Windowed) , can be full screen too. Or you can open each scene/source as windowed or fullscreen Projector.

If you need standalone scene editor window, standalone scene switcher window, standalone Program view, visual markers for sources/scenes that are present in the output right now (aka "active", same as it done in the Advanced Audio Properties window), then you may try to ask for new features in:
