I have successfully recorded thousands of videos with OBS, at varying resolutions over the last two years because of changing monitor choices, all of them at least 2560x with that also being the recorded resolution. Preview took only seconds, recorded just fine, no big deal. However, for a different game I decided to reinstall and replay (Fallout 4), I switched the recording to just 1920x1080 with that being the recorded resolution . . . the preview now takes 2 minutes or more to display if at all.
I then updated to the latest version of OBS (28.0.1), no change to the preview taking minutes if it previews at all.
I played with settings, created a new profile, etc etc. However, I noticed in looking through the settings that the anti cheat box was checked. It is a single player game, so I unchecked it, and that seemed to revert to the prior behavior of previewing immediately. However, what other things should I be checking in the event that isn't the real problem/answer?
