I have a AverMedia Live Gamer HD Lite and 2 PC's, 1 gaming PC and the other for streaming. (specs below)

I can both use OBS and XSplit on the streaming PC. For the LIFE of me, I can NOT get the thing to pick up my gaming PC's audio, be that game, YouTube video or windows sounds.

I have both a USB headset and a 3.5mm headset, I can get USB one to capture my voice on the 2nd PC using the "Listen to this device" trick, but no game sounds still.

I am using HDMI cable from my GPU in the gaming PC straight to the capture card in the 2nd PC, I have set it to use HDMI in Recentral but still nothing.

I've tried every video and guide possible, all the audio cables including Voicemeeter and such.

The ONLY way I get audio to go to the capture card from my gaming PC and to the stream (game, vids and such), is if I set the capture card to default device on my gaming PC. BUT then no sound goes to my headset, so I don't hear anything from the gaming PC.

I've tried too many variants to count now, with a USB headset, a 3.5mm cable one, I tried to use a 3.5mm lead going from my motherboard OUT to the capture cards IN. I've looked at other forums but everyone who others help they describe things to vaguely or in just a way that makes 0 sense.

Am I doing something wrong?
